3 Phase Direct Online Starter DOL Wiring Diagram Connections Explained

Electricians Matt and Joe look at the wiring and connection in a 3 phase direct online started (DOL). In this video we explains how to connect the supply and the out going load (motor) within in a DOL starter. Matt also explains the wiring for the overload plus the connection for the internal stop and start buttons. This wiring diagram will help with level 3 electrical courses for both electrical apprentices, part time, full time learners as well as AM2, AM2S and AM2E.

Very few of these around these days...Its all VSDs and varients...You should be doing a video on them showing the importance of using the correct type of cable and correct earthing and screening connections.I see so many done wrong, wired in SWA and wondering why the cables are at such high temperature, and glwhy their bearings are shot after 3 months

this means your control circuit is using the same MCB rating as the motor, dont agree with this
