I just picked up A Kodiaq having driven all three contenders. For me the Kodiaq won out. I found the Kia 'Van' like as far as driving position went. I also found the trim tacky in appearance, though solid and soft enough.
I went for the Kodiaq and have not regretted it - yet.

Wait wait, isn't the 3rd row entry for Sorento on the wrong side? Since the 2nd row seats split 60-40, Hyundai did the right thing by making the primary entry from passenger side, but somehow they got criticized, while this was not mentioned for Sorento at all..

This is a somewhat weird comparison considering that the hyundai santa-fe tested here is the previous model. Love to know why you couldn't get hold of the new model?

Why not compare the updated Santa Fe, which would be a better comparison.
You just made it easy for the sorrento to win against 4-5 year old competition.

That's not fair for Hyundai !!, you should have included the new facelifted Santa FE 2021, which is much more practical and luxurious!

The comparison of a facelift Santa fe and the Hyundai Sorento would fall into a very similar category as the base platform is the same platform. They both share the same Gdi crdi engine ranges as well as hybrid technology. You're paying a slightly higher premium on the Hyundai badge and all around design. it's also a less common vehicle globally.

Wait a sec, this is the old Kodiaq... I have the facelift sportline since Jan already. Maybe Auz doesn’t get it... interior is much nicer on the facelift.

Really not a great comparison for the Santa fe you should have been using the current facelift model, so naturally, it's going to look dated. Also, the facelift model Santa Fe price range is higher than the equivalent model Kia Sorento.
