I have a 22 Sante Fe with the 2.5 Turbo. Five months later still totally in love. The narrator on this hit it on the head. Love this car!

We traded in our 2019 Kia forte, for a 2022 Hyundai Santa fe SEL AWD. Were heavily considering the sorrento, but honestly I loved the style of the Santa Fe more, we've already taken our car on 2 road trips, and the Santa Fe does a perfect job in the snow.
We love the Hyundai.

Picked up the Santa Fe Hybrid almost a month ago. I have no problems with this vehicle. I dont pull out into traffic so the slight hesitation is not an issue. And if I know I’m driving in an area where I know traffic is bad, I just dial it to sport. No wind noise. No road noise. No hot or cool air inside the interior with the pano roof shade open. The button push gear shift is great instead of the straight up and down in all vehicles. The power in the Santa Fe is a better vehicle to me inside and out and I like the ride better because it feels more luxurious. I drove the Kia and I hate its design inside and out. 😂 Good review though.

I bought the 2022 Sorento X-Line Prestige AWD Turbo. Much prefer it over the Santa Fe. 4 months in and love the Kia.

Sorento looks more muscular, Santa Fe’s front facial is sort of weird to me. I also prefer the Sorento interior, simple streamlined and driver space feels spacious. The Santa Fe driver space feels crowded because of the high positioning of the center console. I test drove Santa Fe first, but the outside look and the inside clutter made me steer away. Now, a Sorento Ex owner, 8000miles later, still love this beauty.

2022 Sorento SX prestige owner here. Love everything about it. I was looking at the Hyundai first but I wanted the manual shifter in the Sorento. That was a requirement. I am ~3000 miles in and I'm loving everything about it. smooth driving experience and looks very handsome. I get compliments on all the tech it has and the looks. The Hyundai does have an added advantage of complimentary maintenance. My color is the everlasting silver color with black accents and black interior. My only dislike is all the gloss black on the exterior and interior.

I would go for a Sorento SX Prestige if it had a bench in the second row. I like the rust brown interior color show here & the vents look great to me imo. But because the SX Prestige is only available with captain's chairs that's why I'd go for the Santa Fe Calligraphy trim

If you are thinking of getting either of these vehicles test drive them both. Last summer I tested the limited Santa Fe (no calligraphy models in stock locally at the time). I thought this was the car I was going to want, having had several Hyundai vehicles previously and not having a good impression of Kia. The Santa Fe has a high seating position (couldn’t rest my right elbow on the center console while touching steering wheel), a stupidly skinny steering wheel, kind of hard seats, a very bouncy ride that swayed side to side a lot & mushy steering which made it no fun to drive. The final straw was that mess of buttons in the center console. The angle of those buttons and the shiny fake aluminum plastic that is used for those buttons, gives off a glare when the sun hits it. Seriously, test drove around noon and with the sunroof open I had to hold my hand over the buttons to see what they were. And they are all grouped together in one big mess. I hadn’t planned on looking at the Sorento but went to look at one on the off chance I wouldn’t hate it. Every single problem listed above is not a problem with the Kia. It has much tighter suspension and steering, wider and cushier seats, logically placed buttons at a not weird angle. And the styling is more aggressive and fun compared to the bland mom style Santa Fe. Still get compliments today on it. Got the x line in the everlasting gray and same interior as the one in this video.

The cube display is helpful at night to keep essential information displayed but will lower glare. Helpful on long nighttime drives.

I have a 2016 Sorento. I’m picking up my teenage daughter’s friends tonight. I’ll need the 7 seats. In Australia Santa Fes also have 7 seats as standard.

If I had to guess, that off-roady squared off look versus a more refined look, coupled with the differences in chassis tuning, might be a good strategy for Hyundai/Kia going forward. They tried doing something similar with Telluride and Palisade, but unfortunately end up with just kinda ugly instead of refined on the Palisade.

I voted with my wallet and purchased a 2022 Kia Sorento X-Line SX Prestige AWD.

I like the unique look of the sante fe but yeah the low turn signals need to be fixed.

Love your delivery and style. Great job. Only thing driving me crazy? I keep vehicles long so I want all options important to me. My current is a 2010 Venza still going strong. But I want that Sorento matte grey in a hybrid. Not possible. I want wireless Android auto. Bizarrely they don't offer it in high trims but do in low trims. What what what?

Yup, Sorento suspension is stiffer. I like that too! Sportier driving sensation.

Two weeks into owning Santa Fe Prestige as its called here in the UAE, top line specs. We get a 3.5 V6 option here, AND 7 seats. No idea why it's not available where you are. it's the second Santa Fe we've owned and its my wife's car. Great daily and this new spec is super quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Way nicer than the Sorento, which is still a nice car. Kia/Hyundai group are kicking ass....
