I swear, "news Korean" is like a completely different language sometimes. Just pure Hanja-based Korean. I've been trying to watch daily news broadcasts most days in Korean to up my advanced Korean vocabulary, and if they didn't have video footage accompanying the stories, I swear I would have NO idea what they are talking about half the time. TOPIK level 6? No problem. Dramas/variety shows with no subs? No problem. News? I'm a clueless baby lol.
