"Very interesting Mr. Woods, but let me just ask you one final question. Do you wear wigs?"

Elijah Wood is eloquent and gracious in every single interview I've ever seen him in. I know we kiwis do this a lot, but we really do claim him as one of our own. What a treasure.

In twenty years he'll look ten years younger.

He’s been called an “old soul” by everyone from Peter Jackson, Mel Gibson, Kevin Costner, Ian McKellan, to Ian Holm. There’s obviously something to it, when you hear him talk. Even when he was quite young, this was how his conversations went. I’ve always been impressed with his conversational skill, and respect of others.

Elijah describes Peter so beautifully, it makes me think of his all his films in a completely new way.

Elijah Wood was my celebrity crush as a teen. He's never made me embarrassed about that.

Got back into LOTR and the Hobbit recently with the extended versions and it finally hit me how monumentally huge the job must have been. Can’t think of another director that’s ever created something so massive and epic and carried it all. In that regard he’s probably the greatest director, solely for those first 3 films. If you don’t know the story of how Peter Jackson came to direct the movies, read about it, it’s just as crazy and inspiring as the films themselves. Also, great point about not losing sight of the small picture, you can feel it in every little shot of the film, he focused on creating the best thing possible (and granted, had some amazing lore and visuals to work from)

Jackson's love for the books is what empowered him.

A great channel and seemingly unique in this day and age where the interviewer asks a question (actually a series of really good questions) and actually lets the interviewee answer it, in full, without constant interruption. It's a refreshing change from all these other shows/channels where the interviewer clearly thinks they are the star attraction and also the world's funniest person.

I totally agree with Elijah's stance on what a good director is. A film is a collaboration and it's worth being open to opinions and ideas.

That clip that the interviewer is talkign about never fails to bring a tears to my eyes. If anyone is interested it's "Elijah Wood's final day" on YT.

Some of the best interviews of actors on this channel. Better than most late night talk show interviews. The actors seem very relaxed, natural and open. Great to see this, thanks!

I wonder does Elijah ever get tired of talking about 'The Lord of the Rings'?

Not one "uh" or "umm" in his responses. Such a simple (but not easy) way to speak that conveys intelligence and confidence.

2:12 Love hearing that. Like Spielberg doing E.T.: Robert Zemeckis was his assistant and suggested the stuffed animal closet sequence. It was hilarious. And Spielberg not only did it but credits him for the idea.

Peter Jackson always made them do dozens of takes each scene. Not just the last one.

Hearing that Peter Jackson is willing to listen to pretty much anyone on set is actually really interesting. Most directors in the industry hardly listen to anyone at all unless they are a producer

4 hours of sleep a day for 3 years would probably make anyone tired.
