The head went down some animal burrow, and thus the game of golf was invented, and the battle won at the same time.

I watched the extended DVD extras multiple times, all the way through. It always seemed to me that shooting the movies was a life changing event for everyone involved, but at the very least a highlight of their careers and/or lives. And when I look at Dominic and Billy having such a close relationship 20 years on, I know I was right. One can only wish to be a part of something this special at least once in their lifetime.
