Trying to FIX a Brand New AIR FRYER with E1 Error Code

In this video we attempt to fix a brand new Tower T17039 Air Fryer with a E1 error Code. This has never been used. Let's see if we can work out what is wrong with it and get it cooking/frying again.

Remember that this is just for entertainment and I am not an expert in these repairs. The processes in the video may not be the best way, the correct way or the safest way to fix these things. I do love fault finding and trying to fix broken things, so I hope that comes across in this 'Trying to FIX' series. Many thanks, Vince.

Vince, if it wasn't for the trial and error taking the top off, nobody else would know, so thanks for helping future repairers prevent from doing this exact same thing, taking one for the team!

Goddammit, you could've had a perfect Faulty Tower joke served right there! 🤣

Vice, you are simply the nicest, most patient, positive man on the planet. That air fryer would have flown across the room had I been the one working on it.
Thank you for being you!

One thing you could do vince is get some sort of decal, something that's a similar style to your kitchen design, and just wrap the case so it covers the crack. Just a thought 😊

Air fryers are great Vince! Much better than heating an entire oven, quicker and more energy efficient too!

As someone who gets their head into many different fix issues I really and honestly appreciate these videos you do Vince. I have a Tefal model Air fryer with a Rotisserie and I'm gonna bet you pay the extra purely for Brand name....anyway I've got a Head Start now if I need to get my head into it for any reason. Thanks and keep em coming Vinny.

Another Great Job Vince! Pity about the crack, but at least it's at the back and you did kind of repair it. I had a feeling it was going to be something like a sensor wire off with it being a new item. The chips look good too! 👍👍

New subscriber here, enjoying the videos.
Just a tip for the future, instead of melting the edges of a broken plastic assembly together, use the 'baking soda and superglue trick'.
If you google 'baking soda and superglue', you will find many examples of its use.
But basically, all you do is sprinkle a layer of baking soda over the crack, then flood the area with thin superglue. This results in a very strong repair.

Whenever I try to put things I have taken apart I always find the manufacturers seem to add in spare parts and screws in case you lose some. Very nice of them

The ultimate ‘wince with Vince’ moment…. Felt your pain there

I think the main concept behind air fryers is they are alot healthier. If you'd had made your own chips you would need a fraction of the oil used in frozen chips

Great video

I see what you did there with the outro music being Hall Of The Mountain King - the Alton Towers theme for a Tower air fryer! 🤣

Nice little vid Vince - I liked the book you referred to also. Nicely explains the purpose of elements for us lesser educated in the world of electronic components 🤪

Thanks for us the book. It looks like something I'd like to have a read of, so I just ordered a copy of Vol 1 and Vol 2 for myself.

Nice. Finishing off with In the Hall of the Mountain King as well! I always think it's a happy day in an orchestra when they're told they're doing the Peer Gynt suite!
