7 reasons I love traveling in the Balkans 👇

1. Incredible local hospitality. The people I’ve met on my trips to different Balkan countries have always been so friendly and welcoming. It really helps to make deeper local connections

2. Safety. I think this is one of the safest regions in the world for travel! Solo or in a group

3. Extremely budget friendly. Food, accommodation, and activities are very affordable in the Balkans. There are some exceptions like the Croatian coast during the summer

4. Fewer crowds than Western Europe. A lot of places in the Balkans feel much more relaxed and less touristy than the other regions of Europe

5. Diverse landscapes. There are incredible seasides, national parks, forests, mountains, and so much more nature to experience

6. Delicious food. I feel like the cuisine is super underrated globally

7. So much history and culture. There is a rich and fascinating history in this region. Plus you can experience a deep culture that the locals are extremely passionate about. I’m lucky enough to have a girlfriend with family in the Balkans so I get to experience it in an even deeper way 😁.
