Building Ubuntu GIS workstation - Part 1

Part 1 of a step by step build of a Ubuntu 10.10 workstation (32 bit) to host Ubuntu GIS.

By the time we are done building, this machine will have Postgis, mapserver, openlayers, apache2, QGis, and other applications installed.

The data we will be using is primarily focused toward Sportsman researching areas to hunt in Colorado. However, the steps discussed can be used across interests and into other states.

With the exception of VMware Workstation, all of the tools are open source, including the recording and editing tools.
