Being 'Queer' Is NOT a Personality Trait

Welcome to Cancelled Conversations, lets talk about things that might get you cancelled or shunned by today’s society. Daniel Moon serves as your host, a democrat by normal standards, but maybe not by today’s.

Somebody has to say it. Not only does life get better, it gets INCREDIBLE once you choose to stop being a victim, and stop making "LGBTQ+SBUR97398T4890F8QREH-F8-43" your personality. All that and more, on todays video.

There are certain things that in our current day and age that cannot be questioned. Nor can they be thought on for too long, without being labeled crazy, or a bigot. Whether we’re talking about political correctness, conspiracy theories, or hot topic news, this is the only place where you can hear things the mainstream refuses to talk about.

Left? Right? Center? Cancelled? Welcome.

I wished i heard this when i was in my teens. I denied my sexuality until my mid 20s because i was afraid people would see me as nothing but the "gay one". Gays on tv told me i needed to be flamboyant, loud, promiscuous and never taken seriously. Im a gay with a straight fashion sense and loves Voice over and programming. With straight friends who don't give a shit of my letter

There’s no greater form of revolution, no better way to challenge the status quo than to be one’s authentic self. Love your vids. You’re doing something important here ❤️

Being "queer" isn't ANYTHING.

You're either gay/lesbian, bi, or straight. With very few exceptions, I've only ever seen "queer" as meaning "I'm straight... but I promise, I'm SPECIAL-straight!! My crazy purple hair and facial piercings means that, despite being heterosexual, I'm like ALMOST gay!!!"

Personally, I think straight people calling themselves "queer", just for the opression-points/to have something to put in their Xwitter bio, is equally insulting to BOTH gay people (tokenizing gay people's life experience, as something you can just "identify as", even tho you never lived it), AND to their fellow heterosexuals (implying that being hetero is some awful thing, that you can't admit, and need to be ashamed of).

Adjacent to "non-binary", in this bizarre trend of people trying opt-IN to being (supposedly) "oppressed", and create a """minority""" demographic, out of thin air.

It's OK to just admit that you're heterosexual. It doesn't imply ANYTHING, beyond simple sexual orientation.

I just found your channel and watched this video by accident

and I love it

thank you so much for this amazing video, that says a lot of what I was thinking in the last several years when I find myself not feel much belong to the community anymore (and began to dislike the term "queer")

I subscribe

there's a study from 2023 that shows 4 out of 5 "gender-questioning" kids grow out of it so I'm not surprised that Sweden is reversing their stance on this. Given how they are the pioneer, it would make sense for them to be the first to do it and also the first to stop it because they would have likely had the worst cases over there. I know it's bad in America but somewhere so far left, I'm sure there could be quite a few victims of this medical malpractice. it's butchery at one point to be quite frank.

Thank you! I don't support any of the corporate LGBT bs. Went to pride one time and I hated it. I live my life on my terms. It definitely gets better, but you have to LET it get better!

Growing up I always felt... "diferent". I used to love swiming and dancing between 5-10 but had to stop doing then both all the other boys keep calling it girl activities... even in my 10-18 I love drama and was part of the Theatre club and Math club... I only dated girls at 20 because I never saw then as beautifull but as judgy of my personly/looks... then I met my wife and fell madly in love with her! Now I am almost 30 and I am as happy as I ever could have dream of! If I was now passing throught my 10-18 fase... I would for sure be a gay trans kid full of hormones and bright colored hair... thank god for my wife for straigten me up really good!❤😂❤

I personally think it's normal and healthy for a minority group to reclaim a derogatory word such as queer. It's taking pride in who they are, taking power back, and I think that's powerful and beautiful. Yeah maybe some people identify as queer as a "trend", but how can you tell? Sexuality and gender expression is a spectrum, nothing is 100 %. and young people are usually exploring who they are. They might think they're queer, and later realize they aren't! And yes, corporations and politicians are 100 % profiting off of the rainbow flag, but that's just what they do. They do it for everything, like green-washing with environmental problems.
