You're a good looking young man. I would suggest cutting it short on the sides and back (but not a lower fade). I like how your hair is darker around the sides and back. You've got some natural curls but maybe a soft perm could give you more body on top. And some highlights might make the curls really pop. Pull the curls forward a bit but don't cover too much of your face. Your eyes and smile are your best features; you don';t want to hide them under a mop top. Some side burns even if they are shorter squared off would give you a more masculine look.

I’m a hairdresser who’s been in the industry for over 30 years. As a young person (women and men) your youth makes long hair an option. When one is past 40 men should definitely go to shorter while women should cut at about 45.

Long hair is associated youth, exuberance, and vitality. Long hair on older men is never an attractive look as it’s associated with mid life crisis and Gandalf ain’t sexy. As well older women tend to appear witchy.
