Fun fact. If you never connect to the internet, the events never update or change. Because of this you can preserve that event as long as you want. I still have the event for hisuian voltorb in my game.

I haven't booted up Violet in months, but you made a real good point here. Did a few day skips to get an outbreak in this zone, 2 sandwiches (yellow bell pepper + sour herb + spicy herb), ended up with 9 shiny. 2 were teensy, 1 personality mark, 1 time mark, 2 uncommon marks. Thanks, Philly!

5:53 You don't need to skip one day ahead. Just set your time back one minute. That way your shinies won't have weird future dates as their date caught.

Just to add to this, because this is an outbreak, having an encounter power in your sandwich is pointless.

So instead you can use a Humungo or Teensy power Sandwich that has Sparkling Power as well to get a potentially extra large or small shiny Alolan Raichus . For me it only took me 2 sandwich resets to get myself a shiny Alolan Raichu that is eligible for the Humungo mark!

The recipe: 1 serving of Yellow Pepper or Onion (not the red one!), 2 servings of Mustard, 1 Spicy Herba + any 1 herba that is not Sweet for the Humungo.
(For Teensy, just switch the Mustards for Mayo, and have Sour Herba instead of Spicy, the rule for not putting sweet in still applies)

(Note that the camera lock on function does not tell your the exact size of the pokemon, it just tells you if this pokemon is larger or smaller than average and does not mean that its 100% a teensy or humungo pokemon, don't get tricked!)

this is the exact kind of event that justifies making a separate save file, since tera raid and outbreak events don't expire until you connect online on that save file outside the event period

I got one w/ the first outbreak, only 12 pokemon auto battled. It had a mark that gave it the title, "Raichu the Furious" 😁. Also caught in a luxury ball.

I shiny hunted a Pichu in Moon years back with the intent of switching it over to the next Gen for a playthrough with a Shiny Alolan Raichu. I didn't really like Sworld/Shield enough to so I ended up saving that plan for Violet, then was hit with the realization that it's impossible since I transferred it before evolving :( I re-hunted shiny Pichu some months ago when I remembered all this THEN realized Alolan Raichu is kind of a pain to evolve into when I had no plans of spending time in the game otherwise lol I'm just glad to see Pancake Raichu is back and I don't have to go through crazy hoops to then transfer it!

So I saw your video two days ago and I thank you for this! I got multiple shinies but I was lucky enough to get a Shiny Alolan Raichu with the Joyful Mark!! I even got it somehow under odds I believe in only 23 knockouts when doing the mass outbreak!
