Sharing my story on how I got my PMP certificate with no Project Manager experience or title. When I applied for PMP certification in 2011 I was not a project manager and I didnt had a full Project Management life cycle experience, however I had experience managing and leading / supporting projects and assisting project manager to successfully complete the project that I was a team member of. This video is my story on what I focused on when I filled in the PMP application, what training I decided to pursue and how those trainings helped me to pass the PMP exam and my overall experience and thought on PMP application process and PMP Exam. HI Nik, my niece received her PMP Certificate from Villanova, passed the PMP exam and was able to secure a position as a project manager without a college degree. She had no prior experience as a project manager.

Thank you very much for the insight. I am rounding up a MSc in Project Management and I have more than 10 years grants management experience working for NGOs. How do I use these qualifications to obtain the PMP certification. Will I be given waivers with the Masters degree and experience? Thanks

Hi Nik, I’ve been interested in PM for quite sometime, but my only experience in management is being a supervisor in UPS and Amazon. I believe the role I play as a supervisor is very similar to PM agile since I am working with many different roles in the logistics operation, but should I look for a job such as a tech lead to apply go my certification?

Hello Nick, great video.
I have worked as a retail manager for the last 4 years. Do you think that would qualify as 3 years of experience they are looking for?
Thanks in advance
