Oklahoma 'Hero’, 11, Saves Choking Classmate, Elderly Woman

Eleven-year-old Dayvon Johnson of Oklahoma woke up one day as an average sixth grader, but he went to bed as a two-time hero.

Johnson first did the Heimlich to save a choking classmate and later in the same day, he rescued an elderly woman from a house fire. BNC’s Najahe Sherman and Mike Hill praised Johnson, who learned the rescue tricks by watching YouTube. The boy has since been honored by his school’s principal and named an honorary sheriff, and hopes to someday become an EMT.

BTW: This Commentator needs to apologize and correct herself. The poor student/classmate that was choking is not an "it". Smdh. She said "It choked on the cap and was stumbling" ...just Wow! You are not mindful nor professional ..how about that?! Referring to a Human as an "it". You could have used a common noun like "student."
