Quick note: James Wan only produced and came up with the story for this. He didn't direct it. But it's written by Akela Cooper, who also wrote James Wan's Malignant, which turned INSANE (in a good way), and it looks like this one will too, so I'm interested.

This looks like fun. The aesthetic of the A.I. is at once impressive as well as uncanny valley creepy, but also able to be cute in certain moments. Bottom line, James Wan is a producer here and that pretty much guarantees I will check it out. Granted not everything he produces turns out great, hello La Llorona I am talking to you, but this looks promising and fun. I hope it really delivers on the latter. Like Malignant did. Also, Violet McGraw is a very talented young actor. Okay I have edited this because I mixed her up with Madeline McGraw of The Black Phone and The Harbinger, but Violet was in Separation which was I thought pretty good and she was good, but really I think most might know her from The Haunting of Hill House where she played young Eleanor/Nell Crane.
