Making VEGAN SAUSAGE GRAVY

I don’t know if comfort food gets any comfier than sausage gravy. While I have a full recipe written below, you can make it your own by seasoning and cooking it to the thickness you prefer. It’s perfect for when you want to make an easy one pan breakfast that feels fancy.

Ingredients
- 12-14oz of vegan breakfast sausage, I prefer using Impossible brand, you can also use regular ground Impossible or Beyond meat if you don’t have access to what I used.
- 2 T all-purpose flour
- 1.5 C High fat vegan milk like cashew, UNSWEETENED add another half cup more if needed
- 2 T vegan butter
- Black pepper, salt, and ground nutmeg to taste
- Chives
- Biscuits

Instructions:
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter to a preheated pan and then crumble in your sausage
- Add in another tablespoon of vegan butter and once melted, sprinkle in your flour and stir.
- Pour in your plant based milk and reduce over medium low heat. Once reduced to desired consistency, this will take 10-15 minutes, season to taste with black pepper, salt, and nutmeg.
- Generously serve on top of a biscuit, season with more pepper and optionally top with chives for a nice little color pop, and enjoy.
