Im Indonesian, I wish the flooding of foreigner in Bali can bring direct positive impact to local ppl. At least help their economic even tho just a little, i e buy local products, eat at local resto, your little care will bring so much happiness for them.

During the pic of Covid-19, I worked from home for 2 months and half in a villa in Bali in Seminyak. It was a villa in a compound but it seemed like a private villa with big swimming pool, big garden and lot of trees. Due to the lockdown, the monthly price was around USD 400

I have been following two Americans who spent time in Bali on their channel, Patricia and Matt Travel. It was very reassuring to her you talk about both the quality and price of the food in a different culture. Thank you.

Congrats on having your first hit video🥳 Love the use of different locations to film so it's not just 1 talking head video the entire time. Looks like the extra work has paid off! (also YT knows I'll be in Bali on Sunday and knew to show this to me)

after living here for over one year i can say that it's cheaper to cook at home just need to know where to shop, switching from Pepito to the Bintang store can save you as much as 40 %. Also when it comes to accommodation finding a villa that is great for living it very difficult under 2k. Since most of the villas are built as holiday houses. Open kitchens are great but not ideal :D and most of the villas are lacking proper work/chill areas.I guess after a while here I started to look at things differently. Bali is still a great place and very affordable compared to other cities in Europe. Enjoy your time here, definitely spend some time in Uluwatu and Ubud just to compare the lifestyle, etc

I traveled there to do some work for Viceroy some years ago. (I am a photographer). While shooting, something made me sick for over a year. Not sure if it was a bug or other. It essentially was like what "long covid" people talk about now but this was about 5 years ago. The. traffic, bugs, and this sickness has made me re-think Bali as a long term living situation. That said, there are many great things about living there for a young digital nomad. Low cost living and a great community. BTW. Love your Villa.

Yeah but cooking yourself makes you in full control of what you are eating, think about it .

Wouldn't your argument about export costs of grocery store food also apply to the restaurants that buy the same exact food?

Have you ever tried local Balinese or indonesian food?
I would agree that there is a huge variety of all western style food available in bali, the western style supermarkets are pretty expensive so dinning out is a good option if you prefer that type of food.
I enjoyed your video thanks

Dine out as much as possible. Cost of lunch and dinner as you point out, cheaper than cooking. More importantly every time you step into a cafe or restaurant many locals benefit. To handover a $10 tip means so much to these people and everything they earn goes to the support of their families. Being generous in Bali is very easy to do in comparison to what have here. ✌️🇦🇺
