How To Electroform Copper Rings

Although what I am actually doing in this video is electroplating it is commonly referred to as electroforming. To find more in depth information about how to set up your bath I can't recommend the Electroforming Facebook group enough. They have an invaluable amount of information about this art form.

💗PRODUCTS
-- Brightener - add this to your bath along with distilled water if you
-- Graphite powder I mix with black matte acrylic paint to make

💗HELPFUL TIPS
--The rectifier should be set on CC
-- You don't want the solution to be cold because it will take a longer time to plate. I'd say 75
degrees and above
-- You want to check on your pieces every so often and jiggle them so that they don't form to
the hanging wire and you end up with an indention on your piece.
-- Don't give up! I have ruined so many pieces trying to learn the process and the satisfaction
you will receive when one plates beautifully will be worth all the trouble.

Thank you so much, I just saw a pintest about this and I'm really interested in learning. I have collected so many crystals to wire wrap but im useless at it lol. I think this would be a great idea to start making my jewellery a lot better. Plus the health benefits to copper are amazing. Thank you. New hobby found, time to level up my jewellery making ❤

Im amazed at the process. I thought the stones were dipped in metal and then added to the ring while the metal was still in a melted state

Wow! I’m so impressed. Those are beautiful. I don’t know that. I have that much talent but you did a really good job of explaining. Could you give us more explanation about how to set up the place where you put the rings in the liquid?

This video was so clear and easy to follow. I was watching some other electroplating videos and they made feel overwhelmed. Also your technique is very tidy and looks so professional :~}

Instead of the protective clear can you just use clear nail polish? I'm back lol been watching YouTubes on electroplating all day and yours are the easiest to understand I'm adding to my Amazon cart right now as I type! Trying to keep it basic to start thanks for your help 😊

This was very helpful but I wish you would have shown close up views after steps like the final product I wanted to see how the bead texture turned out verses not using them. Thank you so much for uploading they are beautiful rings!

Can you interrupt the process to check your work by removing the item from the bath at any time? And is it necessary to turn off the rectifier if you do? Thanks!
