About the Wind talking to Kaladin, this isn't the first time! In the Way of Kings, the wind also talked to Kaladin! It was in the chasms after they were given to only do chasm duty and those words encouraged him to train Bridge 4 in the spear.

The biggest surprises from chapter 4 was Hoid cursing.

So the Oathgates were locked down in the past to prevent people using them to move between the Physical and Cognitive Realms, only Dalinar as a Bondsmith was able to reopen them to this purpose. Could it be that they were actually locked down by Melishi to prevent anyone using them to enter the _Spritual Realm_ to retrieve Ba Ado Mishram, with blocking access to Shadesmar more of a bluff to hide the real purpose of locking them down?

I can't believe I haven't seen the theory that BAM is the Wind going around. We just got confirmation from Wit that the Shards changed Ancient Spren for their own purposes. It makes sense that Odium would find the old, pre shard God, dejected at its lack of worship and respect, having been replaced by the Storm father and Honor and unmake it.

Yeah, I think the Ghostbloods are interested in BAMs ability to manipulate Connection. Not just to get Thaidakar off world, but also Spren and Stormlight.

It seems wit is trying to groom Kaladin for something, we always get the felling that Kaladin is some kind of chosen one and i know brandon dismissed it but could it be that some people are trying to find or even make a man for a specific task, they needed a man with a great Connection to honor, (im not sure if to actually reforge him or for something else) to create a power against the one of odium, maybe thats why wit stayd around the shattered plains wit the royalty, because he thought Dalinar was that man, then he met Kaladin and saw a potential in him to, and now that is going to be his own champion and with the terms of the contest and kaladin putting down the spear its clear to wit kaladin is the one that is more fitting

Wild idea: the Wind is actually Syl's subconscious. She's not an honorspren that thought she was a windspren, she's a Bondsmith spren that thought she was an honorspren that thought she was a windspren.
