Peaches En Regalia

With apologies to Frank Zappa and his family, I’m delighted to present this cover of his 1969 instrumental “Peaches en Regalia”. I first properly became aware of this masterpiece in 2006 at the Royal Albert Hall when I saw the Zappa Plays Zappa tour for the first time. The keyboardist got up from his spot and jumped onto the in-house organ to play the opening melody, after blasting a bit of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor for a bit of humour. Admittedly my own experience of Frank’s music to that point was reasonably limited to the novelty stuff like Bobby Brown, Muffin Man, etc. It was quite an awakening that night and I was hooked. Anyway I humbly submit my own rendition of the tune, having performed everything. 🥹
