Conservatives' greatest weakness, real questions

I remember 30 years ago when I was this person. And truly felt not conforming to my perceived normative values was wrong.
Then, I had the opportunity to meet a gay person and realized that they were a funny, articulate, and good human being.
They weren't pushing for me to be gay and I realized that everyone can be themselves without negatively impacting others.
Hopefully, she grows up like I did.

I witnessed my neighbours grief when her beautiful daughter was born with both male and female genitalia. I witnessed her immense grief when her beautiful daughter started school and children teased and then bullied her about her body when she undressed for swimming. I saw the breakdown of this Mother when parents formed a pressure group to prevent the daughter using the same sex toilets and changing rooms. The whole family were brought down by the incessant evil minded nasty people. This abuse lasted for 7 years. This little girl asked her Mommy to kill her so she didn't have to be seen ever again. Her little brother sobbed in my house at how the family had been targeted. WHY ARE WE SO UNCARING?

I remember being a young boy and getting so angry at something that I punched a wall as hard as I could. My knuckles got swollen and painful and the wall remained unfazed. That was the day I learned that hate makes us stupid and it ultimately makes us hurt ourselves. People like Raya, however, punched the wall and came to the conclusion that the wall was evil and hurt them for no reason.
