Xiaomi 14 Ultra (Global) Camera Test & Hands-On

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra continues the series' trend of bringing the ultimate camera hardware. This year the main camera uses the new Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture between f/1.6 to f/4.0. The other three cameras all use Sony IMX858 sensors with fast aperture and large-ish sensors. There is of course the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and fast charging.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra also includes a photography kit that adds a camera handle and dedicated shutter button the setup.

Thanks Ben, as usual another excellent hands on review. I must admit, I am concerned, just having ordered the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The quality of photos taken on the Vivo X100 Pro appear, at least to me, to have better clarity, more detail and superior focus. Just look at the images of the dog at around 1.35 mins. On paper, the Xiaomi has better optics and of course the camera kit. However, it looks like there needs to be some serious software updates for the 14 Ultra, before it comes close to the still shots taken on the Vivo 100 Pro.
