One thing I think Mike missed. A note in one of the previous chapters highlighted that BanBan was made with the human dna of Uthman. This caused Banban to believe he was Uthman, even when he encountered the human version. So when he says his 'coworkers' started treating him differently, that is when he was actually made as a separate entity from the scientist Uthman.

A small correction on 14:41 the tremor within the facility was caused by Bouncelia coming off the higher floor, which is why she sounds concerned over what happened to little beak in that small moment

I don't think Banban is Uthman, a Case Update Report in the second game says that Case 6 (Banban) believes that he is the original human genome donor (Uthman Adam) and couldn't be convinced otherwise. I also think that's why he says his co-workers "looked at [him] like some kind of monster" since he is Banban, *not* Uthman.

Banban is not Uthman, Banban was made with Uthman's genome & inherited his knowledge & memories. In one of Banban's case update reports, Banban actually meets Uthman.

People seem to be forgetting that Banban is not actually Uthman. He just believes himself to be.

The researchers address this claim in GOBB 2. In a lore paper on Banban as a Subject of the facility, the staff notes that the Human Genome Donor for Banban is the scientist working on the project, Uthman.

They then say that most subjects, Banban included, believe themselves to be human, and identify themselves as whoever their Human Genome Donor is. This is because they share their memories. Subjects who self-identify as their donors are either unwilling or unable to recognize that they are inhuman creations.

When staff tried to refute Banban’s claims, and introduced the real Uthman to Banban, he became very distressed, violent and uncooperative.

Banbaleena also refers to herself as human when teaching her class.

One of the few Subjects able to recognize themselves as an inhuman creation, rather than misidentifying as their Human Genome Donor, is Stinger Flynn. This is mentioned in GOBB 3 from the note in the Progressive Sector.
