This "I don't know their heart" argument when calling out false teachers is bogus. You don't have to know their heart to know when they are telling the truth.

I found it funny and odd that Michael Brown can't be bothered to discern false teachers unless he knows them personally UNLESS it's Martin Luther. He's ready to go to battle over that one, it seems.

It really seems like Dr. Brown and Sam Storm's discernment is based on how nice a person is, knowing them personally, or how many good works they do. But Jim Osman and Justin Peters' discernment is based on what they teach, comparing it to the word of God. At the end of the day the word of God is the only level playing field we have to judge people on. We can't go based of how nice they act or if a famous Christian knows them. Look at what a deceiver Mike Bickle was and these two were pushing back hard trying to defend him.

Dr. Brown and Storms seem to care more about their inner circle and their own experiences. This is how we get horrible leaders like Mike Bickle being able to hurt people for YEARS. But Peters and Osman seem to be the ones who care more about the body of Christ as a whole.

Thank you for this. This truly reveals something that we all should keep in mind. These folks cannot handle on the spot confrontation. This is exactly how EVERYONE I know acts when I lovingly and respectfully confront them with Scripture and question their beliefs, even Calvinists.

I find it telling that Dr Brown doesn't watch one of his best friend's TV program. It seems more likely that he has seen it, recognized it for what it was, and decided to avoid it for expeditious reasons. In other words, he doesn't want to have to respond to questions.

Watched the entire 4 hour discussion. Jim and Justin demonstrated extreme patience and restraint.

At the very best, Storm and Brown proved to have negative discernment and at worst, non-regenerate. In any case, neither is qualified to stand and teach the people of GOD. These two gentlemen cannot or will not call out false prophets but believe folks take multiple trips to heaven. Yeah…unqualified.

Paul told people not to believe a different gospel even if it came from him. Meaning, even if you know Paul and you think he’s the bees knees and the greatest thing since sliced bread, don’t listen to him if he starts spouting garbage.
