Raising the minimum wage doesnt get people out of poverty, it changes the poverty line. Therefore it creates more poverty, bringing people closer to poverty line.

I am a small business owner whose business is barely staying afloat. Most business owners I know are in the same boat. My business probably may not stay open as it is . If I have to pay 15 an hour I will have to close . I'm not greedy my business just couldn't afford it. Nothing says unity like bankruptcy to all small businesses and a much higher cost of living. That does not even include what happens when Biden does away with Trump's tax cut and the governor also raises out state taxes like he wants to.
