Munch is the best. He's a dying breed of detective who's unemotional, observant as all hell and isn't afraid to think outside of the box. Guy was born to be a gumshoe.

When Munch explains the flashlight stuff, it just sends chills. That’s amazing detective work

When she said "why you working this so hard. Did he kill someone that matters" I felt it in my ❤️!

Munch was one of the best if not the best one on that show

It's interesting that the actress who played the victim is also played a recurring cop/detective on the original Law & Order. Her scenes were mostly her delivering files and news to the detectives and the Lieutenant.

Anyone remember the episode where he told Olivia about a neighbor kid that was murdered by her mother, and how he saw the signs but did nothing and still blames himself??? I'm a grown man and that had me in tears.

RIP to Richard Belzer (August 4, 1944—February 19, 2023), one of the greatest to do so. My fellow ♌️ brother. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🕊

Gotta love Munch. He doesn’t speak unless he has something worthy to say. And it’s usually after he was been observing everything going on for a minute and piecing together all the information he has been processing.

Munch was a dayum good cop. ❤️💫✨

Back on thanksgiving many years back, Ice-T
came and visited a bunch of us at a homeless shelter and did a one man Q&A about the Law and Order franchise. I fondly remember asking if Richard Belzer is as funny off screen as he is on. I remember word for word Ice T's response. He said, "Of course he is. He's a hilarious comedian. Been around since the glory days of 70s style comedy with Robert Klein and people like that."

What a guy.

The early ears of SVU were good the writing and character development on point. People forget Olivia & Stabler caught a few bodies

Munch just might be in the top 5 best detectives in the franchise

Munch is one of my favourite characters on SVU and always love watching his scenes with Fin together debating and squabbling about stuff. I'm currently halfway through Season 5 while I'm binge-watching the show and there all excellent watches to see how it all began for myself. Munch had always found a way to make me laugh his snarky one-liners and conspiracy theories, but show his compassionate side with victims and his friends.
I alway loved watching Much and Olivia's friendly moments together because they kinda had a good understanding about each other. I feel like she was the one of the characters he let his guard down on, since they both had parental issues as kids and troubled lives before becoming cops. I know I've got a long ride to through within the next 10 seasons, but I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can and see where it goes for Munch.
Rest In Peace Richard. Gone, but never forgotten...

I'm guilty of saying when a group is talking about something and they're missing the obvious.

“Stapler”

Funny, I wasn’t aware that Christopher Meloni was playing a piece of office supplies.
