Never been into baseball, but after Shohei joined the Dodgers I got a streaming subscription, and started watching every game. Ohtani's 400 bases in today's game marks the first time in 23 years that a player has achieved this feat since Sammy Sosa (425), Luis Gonzalez (419), Barry Bonds (411) and Todd Helton (402) did so in 2001 during what was known as the Steroid Era.
Aaron Judge, who hit his 58th home run in today's game, has yet to reach that record (392). There are three games left.

As of today Shohei Ohtani has 400 Total Bases and 97 XBH, the last time someone reached 400 Total Bases was in 2001 when Four Players had 400+ Total Bases. Before that it was Jim Rice in 1978 with 86 XBH and 406 Total Bases and Hank Aaron in 1959 with 400 Total Bases and 92 XBH.
