Why does no one want to join the military?!

simple, a lot of people look at it as why fight to defend a country and its people who dont respect you enough to let you enjoy the same freedoms they have, or for a government who is hell bent on making sure you dont exist? I know that even if i was medically cleared i wouldnt serve. the people and the government (as a whole) are not worth it.

The principles that are instilled in people in boot camp and even mottos aren’t even followed. Leadership is hypocritical, and the people who realize it and believe the grass is greener on the other side leave and what’s left over is a lot of people who will auto fill leadership positions they have no business being in. Which will ruin the next batch that come in for any chance of retention. As well as having no set goals and doing almost meaningless work for long periods of time for certain MOS/rates Then if you look at the country as is it’s almost become an actual meme. The identity is shifting we have advertisements like emma to join a killing organization… which baffles me The identity of a killing organization meant to defend the “freedoms” of America is represented by emma. It could be that their trying to recruit the wrong people and push an agenda that majority of people actually don’t care for in the armed forces. There’s a lot of factors contributing to it.
