As an owner of a V6 mustang, i will not buy a muscle car without a V8 ever again. To some a v6 muscle car may be exactly what they want, but to me, there are just more fun sports cars out there with 4 cylinders or v6 motors. I truly believe these muscle cars were just meant to have the v8. For the sound and feel of it alone. The v8 just feels like freedom to me

Trust me, ALWAYS get the v8 so you won't be disappointed down the road. I've tried owning v6 and 4 cylinder turbo cars in the past and modified them and they still weren't as fast as most v8 cars. Just spend the extra money so you can be truly happy.

I bought a v6 years ago. I wasnt anything close to a car guy i just wanted a cool looking car at the time. 7 years later and im a total gear head and drive a pcp scat shaker. It all started with the v6. Theyre great cars and dont deserve any of the shade they get from car guys.

I supercharged my V6 Challenger and it was an amazing experience. I currently own a scatpack.

I had the v6, upgraded to the rt, but soon realized I was over my head with insurance, registration fees and the price of gas. Everyone feels the economy but North of the border we're paying close 8$ a gallon. Absolutely ridiculous. I had to trade in the rt for my gt. Ain't nothing like a hemi, but ya gotta do what you gotta do. Always great content Paul.

V8 all the way. The sound alone gets my vote.

When you revealed the R/T's sticker price, all I could hear is Stanley from The Office: "Boy, are you out of your mind?!"

63K is the Same price I paid for my 2019 Scat Pack widebody with the lifetime warranty! Love my scar pack & I will have it forever!

I love when people mod lower tier cars. I'm a fan of the underdog.

R/T all the way. Would not even consider the V6. Not even if it was supercharged. Great video, Racer X!

I personally went with the GT bc I don’t race so I don’t care about a ton of HP and I deal with Canadian winters😂but I’m also a huge fan of the Challenger style and history so it was the perfect option for me. More than enough power and efficiency to cruise around in every day and still have that muscle car styling.

The Procharger kit is actually $7K (you need to buy the tuner separately) and bumps you to 440hp and 450tq on 7 psi and straight pump gas. The RIPP kit runs those numbers at 10-12 PSI. I've had 2 5.7 R/T 6-speeds and on my 2nd GT. I prefer the GT because it weighs almost 400 pounds less and with the amount I drive (35K+ a year) getting 37 mpg on the highway instead of 25 or so makes a big difference. I have the same fresh air setup that T/A has and a Borla S-Type system on it, which sounds awesome! At sea level it does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. I have a 3.70 LSD that I'll be installing in the next couple of months when I rebuild the suspension which will help that out. The only reason I'm looking at supercharging mine is to make up for the altitude I live at - 5000 feet, which hurts any NA car. Doing that will make it easily quicker than an R/T and also at least equal to an NA Scat at altitude. People hammer the Pentastar all the time, but when you drive a GT with the 4-piston Brembos and HD suspension, you see what a great driver these cars can be.

I live in the colorado mountains so v8 rwd is not an option. The v6 awd is a beast in the snow. Been making payments for a year. Really want to get it supercharged next spring. Good video

@10:55 The LS1 F body’s were underrated by GM. They made closer to 330hp-345hp and ran mid to low 13’s. Also they made about 80 more ftlbs of torque than that V6, and the F body is about 600lbs lighter! Stock for stock performance wise they’re just as fast as the RT trim..

I purchased the GT because of the AWD option. Where I live it's more practical then just the RWD. I will be adding a super charger in the near future but don't think you have to, the V6 is not bad and at 80 mph its only at 2k rpm

I love the b5 with the full satin and side stripes. The grill also looks more aggressive. I think the V8 is totallt worth it just based on appearance alone

When i got my first "sports car" when i was 17 it was a ECO-boost Mustang. I regretted it 2 months in after learning about cars, ive now owned 5-6 scat packs and a 16' Mustang GT. ill never get a I4 or V6 in a Muscle car again. Like someone said their are better V6 and I4 cars. for example like a 370Z or a BMW.

Great video RacerX! With the potential the 5.7 has to make more power I still think the R/T is the way to go.

I had an rt thing was a beast with just an intake headers and a tune a supercharger would make the rt pretty crazy i was going to do that but then i found my dream spec hellcat for 60k last October there was no passing that up. Great video man.
