The best thing about this is that Ock obviously loves what he’s doing.

Visited New York, asked a local where the best place to get a quick bite to eat. He pointed to the Bodega down the street; said chopped cheese. It was the best breakfast I had that entire trip.

I lived on 10th and B for 3 years all through covid. Sunny and Annie’s never closed and they make INCREDIBLE sandwiches. Such a nice family too, support them if passing by and don’t forget to tip your sandwich guy.

$18 for a breakfast sandwich is daylight robbery, even for NYC standards!

I want to the Ocky Way shop a few months ago. It was fantastic and General Ock was soo humble and chill amid all his internet stardom.

As a New Yorker, bodegas are not just a staple in NYC, but the metro area as well. I lived in Jersey City for a few years before moving back to NY, and there are plenty of bodegas there as well in The Heights. What makes bodegas special are the charm and the affordability (typically) for the average person living in some of the most expensive areas anywhere. And it's a true bodega if there's a cat around.

Those sandwiches came from a place of necessity for us growing up in nyc, it’s just now becoming trendy around the US

My dad who is originally from Brooklyn has even told me that the two most popular NY sandwiches are a baconeggandcheese on a roll (apparently us NYers consider it as one word) and a chopped cheese. I’ve personally never had a chopped cheese before, but I’m definitely gonna try it soon.

I wish I had a corner store with Ock! This guy just puts a smile on my face. He seems to enjoy making his customers smile and you can tell he has a bomb personality.

I tried the BE&C this exact same way the ocky way and guys, it's worth the money. Even when cut in half these things are HUGE! I'm a big guy with a big appetite and I was full when I was done with my half. So say my half was $9, typical bacon egg and cheese is anywhere from 3 to 5 bucks depending where you go, if you get a side of mozzarella sticks that costs another 4-5 bucks, and this guy puts enough bacon for 3 or 4 sandwiches you get anywhere else. If you go there go there with a friend and split it, totally worth it. Ocky is magic!

Sandwiches are just the perfect food. You can get so much distinctive flavor (as shown by this video) all in a handheld meal you can eat on the go. If I could eat one for every meal I certainly would

Mine used to be called Fishies. I lived in northern New Jersey. As a child walking to school I would take a quarter and give it to the lady and she would put bologna on a Kaiser roll and wrap it up for me. I ate that thing every day it was so incredibly good
