ABOUT US:
Jupiter² was built in the Philippines by an Australian designer for Jamie. During his time away from work, Jamie lived on board and cruised South East Asia. One of his life dreams is to sail around the world. His plans came together at the end of 2018 when he met a Filipina lounge singer in China. Princess was yearning for a vacation since she had been working many years to support her family. Finally, her siblings got their own jobs and she decided to join Jamie on Jupiter² and go sailing. It was a wild decision for her because she had never sailed before. For the first time, they sail for two weeks around Phuket, Thailand. She began to see what Jamie love about the sea. They both resigned from their jobs in early 2019 and began cruising full time.

Hopefully some inspiration to "Quit Job and Go Sailing".

As I think about what I WANT in a cruising boat, I absolutely will be going with a Catamaran. Just the ability to BE redundant with critical systems (engines, steering...) is one of the things that pushes me to that as opposed to a monohull. I've thought a lot about this aspect of cruising... REDUNDANCY! You have a very succinct and informative video here.
Spare parts. Yeah, I am like you in that regard. WHAT might break? Can I get it easily or should I be carrying a spare? I've always adhered to the Scouts Motto: Be Prepared!
I did some long distance motorbike cruising in remote areas many years ago. I had a minimum of spares with me because with a bike, there isn't much ability to carry them.

After watching many of your videos, I'm sold on getting an aluminum catamaran due to the strength, low cost and speed of building with aluminum over fiberglass and other composites. Have you considered replacing your stays with Dyneema to save weight and save on the replacement cost?

Have you had much issue with growth in your water tanks with the clear inspection port lid? I've always heard to use something 100% opaque even if it's covered by something else we're in a dark area.
