So glad I found this video. Got the oil changed on my 2017 outlander sport 3 weeks ago, they never reset my oil light so I went back today, they couldn’t figure out how to reset it, so I googled it and found this and it worked perfectly!!

so resetting it is one thing, but what’s the reason for it coming in the first place ? does my car need a service or something lol

I came here to see what I was doing wrong because it doesn’t want to be reset. You actually have to do it through an obd scanner and reset by program reset to do so. It has an integrated km distance and it’s incredibly annoying to adjust the intervals.
