21-Year-Old Student Planning a Treasure Hunt Goes Missing

The search is on for a 21-year-old college student who went missing as he was planning a treasure hunt. Hunter Lewis has been missing since December 30, 2021 after taking his canoe from Trinidad Beach to Flat Rock in California, according to the LA Times. Family, friends and authorities have been looking along the coast for him. He was planning a scavenger hunt with 12 clues.

I went to middle school and high school with Hunter. The nicest and most amazing person you'll ever meet. Such a genuine guy. He will be missed.

The last clue at the end gave me chills! His dad was able to likely solve riddle of where the treasure was to be placed, but hope they can find or recover his son, which is his own treasure!!! ❤️

I always think about the buddy system, and I wonder why so many don't use it. It's not a guarantee, but it's better than being alone. I hope they find their son. I couldn't imagine his family's pain.

This sad situation is almost like an unreal situation….like a movie…especially the way his father was talking in the end about his son’s “final riddle”. It’s so heartbreaking, but part of it is mesmerizing and sad.
