The 2023 Shamsher Prakash Lecture will be delivered at Geo-Congress 2023 in Los Angeles, CA on March 27, 2023. The 2023 lecturer is Jason DeJong of the University of California Davis. Jason's lecture is titled "The Influence of Soil Gradation on Penetration Resistance and the Dynamic Response of Level and Sloping Ground."
This award and lecture is established to honor Shamsher Prakash, Ph.D., P.E., D.GE, Dist.M.ASCE for his contributions to geotechnical engineering and soil dynamics. It is established under the auspices of the Geo-Institute and funded by an endowment created through donations from Professor Prakash’s estate and family, mentees, friends, and colleagues.
