I'm 62, and just am getting into making music. In december, I got navation 49 key, M audio 192/4 audio interface, 770 beyerdynamic headphones, and a boom desk mounted mic. I already have a high end computer, and also have electric guitar and amp. This year is going to mostly be about learning, upgrading software, and probably Mackie 8" studio monitors.

Minilab is basically for controlling analog lab. MIDI out is for the keystep. I don’t see why Arturia would let those intrude on each other without increasing the price.

Sanjay look into a touch screen device called the Dell Canvas. I have one for my photography work and frequently use Ableton on it. Its a joy to use and so many plugins translate well to a touch screen interface. Theres even some great 3rd party touchscreen apps that give the touchscreen devices great hands on control (look up Xotopad). The Dell Canvas was sold as a much cheaper alternative to the very pricey Wacom Cintiq's and could probably be found now for an even more affordable price then when I got one 2 years ago. Well worth a look.

On the touchscreen support topic. I think Bitwig rules that league as it has a fully adopted interface for touchscreens. Might want to check that out! 😉

Hello! Happy New Year!!!! Was watching your predictions and wishes for this year, have you tried Roland’s Zenbeats? Even they say is not a complete DAW but it’s mobility and cross compatibility is awesome. Would love to hear your thought on it. It’s receiving lots of updates and improvements lately. I'd like to see a video with a comparison between some "grown up" keyboard controllers with 88 weighted keys and/or the question, if using a "cheaper" digital piano like Roland FP-10, Kawai ES-110 or the like would make sense as controller keyboard for music production with a DAW (this topic interests me since I studied piano and like to have a nice keybed under my fingers). Or did you produce videos about such topics already and I missed them?
