I had an old LG V20 and was able to use that screen to fix my newer one that was cracked. You just saved me from having to buy a new phone! Thanks so much!

For the headphone jack removal, using a heat gun on the lowest setting, I applied a little heat. I used the plastic tool that came with my kit and went underneath like this gentleman is showing and would pry on one side then on the other side. Again use a little heat off and on to help with the removal. It worked great!

Currently doing this! Everything has been accurate so far 🙂 everything on the video looks significantly larger than actuality 😅

This worked well. I may have damaged the ear piece, but will open it up and try again to place it correctly. That's probably the one thing I can easily live without. I tend to use the speaker phone for everything and it is fine. Removing the ear piece was difficult, but the rest was very easy. Your video was excellent. New screen looks like a beauty. Saved me big bucks.

Several KEY PARTS are missing

So I was glad I found this video to replace my screen assembly, but I learnt the hard way some key parts are missing.

- First and foremost : MOST BOARDS WHICH YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF ARE GLUED.
So you really have to be super careful in removing them. This is especially true for the speaker, which you can very easily disassemble into two parts while trying to remove it. Not ony does Serg fail to mention this, but it's at this most critical part that his camera goes wandering off where the action takes place.
I killed my speaker. It's only $10 if you can find one, but you may have to wait a loooong time before it reaches your mailbox.

- While this may not be true of all screen assemblies you will find, several parts were not covered in this video.
The left-hand side side panel, especially, the one with the volume rocker, has to be pulled out too. And the volume rocker itself. This particular hardware part is very touchy as well, replacing it anywhere short of perfectly will cause malfunction.
There is also a very tiny bit which I had to take off my old assembly and put it back in the new one, and it plays a critical role. It's a rubber separator for the two sensors right beside the front-facing camera.
Forget it and you won't be able to make any calls as one of the sensors is the proximity sensors.

So thanks for the video, nice effort, useful, but some critical parts are missing.

Thank you so for your video. Helped me in my quest to fix my new digitizer on.
Things you missed out that made my life a little tough. The sensor attachment, the side buttons for volume and the side bar that has the latch to open the case. (You would have missed those because you did not exactly change the digitizer but take it apart and put it all back so its forgiven!)

would you say that the v20 is one of the easiest to change due to the ease of access?

When removing the earpiece at the top, as you are prying the silver box, the bottom piece that is sticky glued on the bottom, just might come off the earpiece box. Don't worry. just set it back on the box and you should be all set.

I also applied a little heat to the vibrator motor directly on top and it also came up with ease...again apply JUST a little heat. once you feel to motor coming up, then stop applying heat a remove.

Thanks for the video. It helped me a lot! I have a K20 it's about the same except I had to (unglue-with some heat from a hairdryer) the old screen from the frame, since my replacement screen came as just a screen (the new screen came with a little double sided tape on it, but I had to add some hot glue on the edges)

What's the quality of a replacement screen versus manufacturers original screen

Make sure to remove the antenna that sits right next to the earpiece. I say this because my new digitizer did not come with it.
