For a little more context on TFP/Aligned Soundwave's backstory, he was originally a member of the Cybertronian High Council, basically a senator. Soundwave was one of the first few officials to oppose and opt to undo Sentinel Prime's caste system that had thrown Cybertron into a quagmire of inequality and systemic oppression. Frustrated by the bureaucracy and inefficiency of his fellow councilmembers, he denounced the High Council and took on a vow of silence, committed to showing that actions speak louder than words. From there, he ventures to the Pits of Kaon, and the rest is pretty much featured in this _FANTASTIC_ video!

Of all the gladiators Megatron fought back in Kaon, Soundwave was the one that came very close to beating him.

And it's this very battle that created a mutual bond of loyalty and respect between the two.

The fight coreography was great! The sound effects were just like in the show, megatrons voice actors sounds great! Soundwaves model looks good and looks like it was from the show, animation was smooth. So all in all This was FANTASTIC!!

Really well done! I remember reading the Exodus novel where it’s shown how they met just like this. Soundwave nearly got the better of Megatron and I think was noted as being tenacious enough to make sure that if he went down, he’d bring Megatron down with him. He earned Megatron’s respect and became by far one of his most loyal followers. It’s so cool to see this realized in animation!

From what I understand: Megatron was already a politician at this point. Soundwave came as a former member of the council to live among the poor in the southern slums of Kaon. Megatron took him to the areana to test the former councilor's mettle in a sparring match to first blood. After a hard fight, Soundwave managed to land a hit on Megatron, earning his respect.
It was said that out of all who Megatron had faced in the pits, Soundwave was the only one who had a chance of beating him. How much of one wasn't said(Soundwave only managed ONE hit, after all).
But still, this animation is beyond stellar. The choreography and voice acting is simply phenomenal. You need a budget so you can make more quality pieces like this.
The ONLY nitpick I'd make is, if we go by Megatron as a gladiator, a jet wouldn't be his alt mode. He would've been a tank. He underwent surgery to have his alt mode changed to procure the tactical advantage of aerial superiority during the war.

This came out great. The voiceover was fitting, among the SFX was perfect. I also loved the fighting and how intense it got in between the two. You did an amazing job.

DAMN this gave me the chills!! I loved how when he reached it to Soundwave, it parallels the scene where he helps Optimus in the show. Awesome job man!

Props to the guy voicing Megatron for capturing his intonations from the tv show. Really sells it as a younger version of the character.
