One of the best teaser trailers ever. The music is beautiful and I get chills by the end. If only the film was like it...

It's amazing how things that seem so insignificant at the time can become vessels of intense nostalgia and memory. When my unit returned from Iraq and then relocated from our base in Germany to Ft Riley, KS, my significant other, whom I had not seen in over a year, was helping me set up our then state-of-the art home theater system in our new home. When we completed it, we HAD to show it off to our friends with a demo of the opening scene from Stargate, and this teaser was on the beginning of the DVD. I had never seen the movie, but I loved the teaser so much with the beautiful music and elegant visuals that I never bothered skipping to the movie during my demos. Every time I see this, it's like I just got back to the states, my significant other is still alive(he passed away a few years ago from heart failure), and all is well! I didn't care too much for the movie, but I LOVE this teaser!

I remember when this dropped in the theater... As soon as the M.Night name popped up everyone went nuts. That was the hype train he was ridin'.

The first time I saw this trailer, I related to how lonely he seemed - combined with the music, brought tears to my eyes.

When i heard this song back then, i was immediately sold, i couldnt care what the outcome of this story was going to be. The music works like magic in this trailer.

2006; the last good year for exceptional entertainment. Cars, Happy Feet, Ant Bully, Superman Returns.Disney’s Stick It, Open Season, the year I started a video edit class with Amanda, commercials however, were lacking magic.
