picked up an old circular saw from a swamp back in 1984 sat in the swamp for about ten years before that it was about 350 miles away it was a lot of work but enjoyed running the saw for 15 years when someone wanted to buy it for more than we had in it so much fun cut a log then set around drink coffee and make up a story about that log so each part of the cabin had a story so relaxing

That is a nice sawmill and that it is portable is a plus. I can see how useful it could be if you were clearing a homestead. Ours is an antique Frick and hasn't been set up in years, but it has finally made it to the top of the list for the winter. Blessings and have a great Thanksgiving!

The up/down drum switch is on the right hand side. Make sure to lubricate the drum switches every 50 hours.

Great video, excellent overview of the Woodmizer LT40. The “wide” is worth it, I wish ours was a bit wider. We have an older LT40 hydraulic with the bulletproof “Lamborghini” Lambordini Diesel. Excellent investment. Cheers 🍻

I watch a bunch of u guys and what I have learnt is that u dont need to spend 40g's to get one that will work. I am watching a family clear land and build house. The lumber for the house they are taking form the land. 4 yr ago they bought the cheapest Harbor Fright mill out there. The slide part was very short so they took the saw off it and built one that they could cut up to 25 ft on. They did this b/c their home will have some beams 22 ft long. They even went so far s to build a solar dyer for their lumber. They are just now beginning to use the lumber they milled 2 yr ago. Every day he cuts some and puts it in dyer after taking out that which is dry. They are doing this in S VA Mt and they both work so this after work and weekends. Their little cheap saw is doing just fine no problems what so ever. If I was but 50 again I would buy me one and get me to work.

Now u made it sound like u could net 1500 2k a day. No that is gross. U need to buy ur logs and all those expendables will take a goodly chunk. The Amish man who I buy form says he can make up to $400/da for his pocket. $40/hr is not a bad wage. It is just over 100k/yr. Anyone who cant live on that is living to high on the hog.

If you buy one of these the first job should be building a shed to house the mill out of the weather.

I had no idea you would have to replace your blade that often .

I’d love to get one but they are pricey. Hopefully one day.

I don't know if I would have put that camera on the fence. Far too easy to steal. I would have put it about 12 foot up on that power pole.

I was interested until you said the words: 'Kohler and computer'

You'd almost need a trade school education to operate that sawmill. Lots of
parts, that have to work together! Yikes! Or lots of good old fashion -Practice! Wooo!
