Coronavirus: Trudeau says what’s done now will determine Christmas get-togethers

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Friday spoke about the ongoing surge of COVID-19 in the country, stressing that what “we do in the coming days and weeks will determine what we get to do at Christmas.”

He urged people to continue to wear masks but to also reduce contacts and understand even if people see cases “flattening” it’s not the time to say “we don’t have to stay tight anymore.”

My fathers uncle died in the Maples personal care home last week due to Covid, he was actually a fairy healthy dude for his age, but he was slow moving from working his entire life. He worked so hard for a retirement he can no longer enjoy. Coming here from the poor Acores island, worked extremely hard, and his time to relax has been taken from him. RIP Uncle.
