Universal Hotels are so brand new to me as someone who stays on Disney property more often. Sapphire Falls looks gorgeous with so many lovely offerings, and the rum bar is totally up my alley.

I stayed at Sapphire Falls for my 40th birthday in May 2022 and it was absolutely fantastic!! The room, vibe, staff, everything was great! Easily the best part for me was the water taxi to the parks. It was so insanely convenient and quick! Also super close walking distance to Volcano Bay.

One of the greatest pro tips of all time... Book 1 night at a premier category resort to get 2 days of unlimited express passes. And change resorts for the remainder of the stay to save money.

I stayed at Cabana Bay but walked across the street and checked out Sapphire Falls and absolutely loved it! Strong Water Tavern was my favorite restaurant/bar. After checking out from Cabana, my friend and I hung out at the Sapphire lobby until we had to go to the airport because it's so beautiful.

I'm a Midwesterner and have been swimming in cold water all my life, so I would be one of the hearty souls out at the pool when it's 60 degrees. 😂

I really like the looks of the Universal resorts. I don't really want to go to the parks except maybe to see Harry Potter stuff so I can see maybe going a day before a WDW trip and staying at one of them and just doing an afternoon/evening at Universal. I can't ride roller coasters or most 3D rides so that means most of the rides would be a no go for me.

Amatista Cookhouse at night for a dinner date is a better vibe and more food variety than breakfast. Its nice to get dressed up, linger over a meal, and walk out to the waterfall from the dining room.
