I think SQ got CX this round! The food, seats(non-typical looking), sleep mode(almost a real bed with SQ)! Dan, could you consider doing a food showdown on different airlines(1st, biz, Econ)?

Nice presentation Dan. BUT ... IMHO .... it’s NOT a fair comparison of seats ... SQ apartment vs. CX seat? Perhaps the comparison should have been SQ narrow body F seat vs. CX F seat. As a 1M AAdvantage member, I’ve flown both CX and SQ. To keep my status, when flying to/from Asia I fly CX one way and then SQ the other 😉.

Thank you for the upload: great video. The flight in first class with Cathay Pacific from Zurich to Hong Kong a week ago was actually very good. I slept well for about 6 hours on the 11 hours 25 min flight. The bed was very comfortable and large compared to other airlines. The food was ok declined caviar though. I wasn't up for it. On my last leg in business class from Hong Kong to Cairns the food was really good. On both flights the flight attendants very friendly and attentive.

You have made me rethink what I do with my accumulating miles on Delta and Alaska. I figured I would just use them for upgrades domestically. I might need to broaden my perspective and consider traveling internationally for the first time in a couple of decades. You as a young man are an inspiration to me. It seems that you are creating a beautiful experience on this planet for yourself while I spent my first four decades trying to be "good." Ugh. Time for change!

Hi Dan thank you for review, question, why would you review a SQA380 first class in comparison to a CX 777 first class product, I mean two hugely different aircraft, available cabin space? Can you really compare such different aircraft cabin first class configurations?

Rencently I like Singapore more than Cathay. Even I live in HK. SQ still keep the services very good

Dan, I also fly both SIA First Class JFK/FRA/SIN/BKK long haul and CX First Class JFK/HKG/BKK. I totally agree CX needs to reinvent catering. Though CX F Class award saver fares are available much more often then on SIA, in fact SIA Long Haul I paid 210, 000 miles the saver fare on the A380 is never offered. CX I used 110, 000 miles using AA miles, or I was upgraded from J using CX miles. CX flys the B777-300ER, and the bed is much more comfortable. I think the difference between SIA’s First Class and Business is the exclusively, which is hard to put a price tag on. Both SIA’s Business and First Class have awesome food & service, & the bed is similar. Though when paying for a ticket, SIA is affordable in Business and First Long Haul, CX Business is about the same, but Cathay’s First Class at 25K round trip is just too much money. I prefer CX out of JFK with miles, at 16 hours to HKG or 19 hours to Bangkok, but flying SIA via Frankfurt is about 24 hours to SIA, and 27 hours to Bangkok. Thank you for the Vlog. I have one tiny request from you and that is to call the flights "services" instead of "products" just because the most of the job is done by humans from the food to the flight itself and it sounds wrong to me to call them products.
