A lot of people are saying that Shawn “roasted me” or “called me out” somewhere around 6:30. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Shawn is simply discussing how it’s important to do what you love on YouTube and make videos that feel natural. I 100% agree with this. For the longest time, I was making unboxings and review videos that I simply didn’t care much about. It was only until I shifted my content started making the videos I truly wanted to make when YouTube felt fun again. At the moment, making the videos I’m uploading right now truly feels natural and I’m having tons of fun.

For Shawn, making videos similar to mine just wouldn’t feel natural to him, which makes sense given that he’s about double my age. I admire him for making videos he loves rather than videos that may get more engagement. Personally, I don’t have this problem because the videos I love to make just happen to get lots of engagement.

So overall, this video is not Shawn “calling me out”

I agree with the not spamming rule. I think leaving behind funny comments or maybe even positive ones too will bring more people to click on your channel as opposed to just out right advertising. Also, I’ve had experience with content creator burnout before and it sucks. I think I wanted to make awesome videos during that time period but I just couldn’t bring myself to work a project of mine for a while due to the sheer scale of it. I think that’s why it’s important to find a balance between working hard and taking time off to do other things. Epic video Shawn
