The euphoria isn't necessarily because of the last 2 results. For me it came whit Nagelsmann's last nominations. He is finally going for performance instead of names. New, Jung, fresh players lead by Kroos. I couldn't stand any Gnabris, Goretzkas, Süles, Goosens, Schlotterbecks anymore. To be quiet honest - I would leave even Gündogan behind. World class player no doubt. But he never did anything great in the national team. If Kimmich wouldn't play right back, I'd leave him behind as well. And for me this is the way to continue. It might not be good enough yet to go far in the tournament, still - I adore him for his guts to change the team that way.
