One chilly morning, when a thick fog covered the landscape, blurring the outlines of the lush green trees.
John was driving his patrol car through a winding stretch of road when suddenly his eyes caught sight of a dark figure darting out from the edge of the forest.
It was a black bear, thick and sleek, but it was clearly in a state of panic and pain as it could only move on three legs.
The bear, with a frightened expression and trembling body, tried to move closer to the road, but each step of its injured leg made it wobble and difficult to walk.
