I'm looking for a nice lightweight urban commuter, the NCM 7 popped up as a black friday deal. Currently its only $700. Im really debating if that is the best bike for its price at the moment.

The battery will have full battery functionality for about 8-9months of consistent 5 day per week use. The battery has a warranty for 12 months (frame has 24months) but don't expect an easy response to your bike problems, they are only online and probably franchisee businesses.

I heard the word that they're changing the programming in the near future to actually use the capability of the torque sensor in these bikes. They've had one, but it acts like a cadence sensor as of now. Torque sensor is much more intuitive and safe. That would also put them at the lowest price point for a bike with a functioning torque sensor once this programming is applied.
Edit: No word from them as to when exactly this will happen

Is there a bottle cage mount? It would be nice if you could attach a folding lock or Ulock. If removing the battery to charge, say inside the office, will the internal housing be safe if it rains?

The handlebar looks really low. I prefer more relaxed riding, is it possible to change the stem to make it higher or would that change the geometry of the bike in a negative way ?

I bought this bike a year ago and I like the bike...The Store that I bought it in Seattle assured me they would stay in business and service the bike. The store is now closed, and no one will work on a NCM bike. The service department says just go to a dealer but there are no dealers anywhere near Seattle nor did they offer to help me out with service... buyer beware...!
