This isn't emp. This is basically just electrostatic discharge damage to the semiconductors. Those flyswatters create voltages in the 10kv range and it's basically a lightning bolt to the transistors on the silicon substrate. You can even see the spark hitting the screen.

Just put bigger lithium batteries on the fly swatter and the flies just explode when they touch it and it turns tvs off from 3ft away

Um, if you EMP your tablet, why isn't the camera not turning off? Is it immune to the EMP due to a cealed case or just low range?

For some reason I’ve noticed a higher success rate in this kind of methodology when I put said device close to the camera (only have done with laptops).
