Many different composers have arranged selections from Mendelssohn's incidental music to 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' for piano. The most well-known amongst these is Liszt's concert paraphrase on the wedding march, but Rachmaninoff and Thalberg have also composed virtuosic transcriptions of the scherzo. Moszkowski's transcription of the nocturne is quite perfect, capturing the essence of the orchestra with the piano alone.
