CTUIR Shapatunxwit Community Curriculum is a climate adaptation planning and engagement learning opportunity that invites the tribal community to learn from tribal knowledge keepers, staff, and community members who are already thinking and preparing for the climate crisis.
In this video, experts in the CTUIR Tribal Planning Office (TPO) share the work this essential government department is doing to prepare for an uncertain and reduced carbon future, including using zoning and permitting to create opportunities to reduce greenhouse gases, preparing for greater magnitudes of flooding, and planning for communities that are integrated for carbon-free transportation.
Speakers:
Kimberly Hughes, Resident Service Coordinator/Home Inspector
Tanner Michael, Maintenance Manager
CTUIR Department of Housing
