I love a good book faff myself :-) Thank you for taking us along on yours. Not only was it lovely and relaxing, it's always so interesting to see what's on someone's book shelves and I could easily squirrel away in your living room and read through your shelves - not literally, that would be weird, but I know you know what I mean 😂 - you have so many good books there! One of my favourites I could reread is Snow Falling on Cedars. I live in the Pacific North West and I learned so much local and important history from that gorgeous book; it's stayed with me for years. Enjoy the lovely shelves you've curated so thoughtfully - cheers!

The way you speak about memories of old books and photos and our past selves was really touching. It made me think of a film recommendation, it's called Past Lives and it's beautiful :)

oooh, the Muji candlessss. I'm gonna cry. I bought one on my visit to London almost 10 years ago (elderflower, a totally new fragrance to me) and now each time i open that empty tin - the candle burnt out within the year - i'm transported to those few weeks after i got back from London, dealing with the nostalgia of those 20 days there, the memories, it is such a potent scent... still gives me goosebumps and a teary eye. I daydream about being back in London, in that Muji shop in Carnaby Street and buying a new candle. Sorry, got carried away!

Hi Ali! I have so enjoyed your book shelf sorting videos. I love the chat about books, and the order out of chaos (not that it was really chaotic!) You have inspired me to kickstart my clear out and re-ordering, which has been languishing for a while! Thank you, much love xxx

This was fun to watch as I'm currently "faffing" with a long series of tall bookshelves which act as a room divider in a small apartment. They are home to books, knick-knacks and photos and I'm always fiddling with them. I keep trying to cull some of the books but I'm like you about wanting to maybe re-read, many I haven't read yet, or they just have some sort of special meaning to me. The struggle is real. Thanks for sharing.

My daughter (Lillia's age) and I loved The Eyre Affair so much that we went to Swindon to take photos with the street signs in the development with all the Jasper Fforde names. 😂

(And ooh! I spy the Rivers Of London books! 🤩)

Love seeing all of your books. I love the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde. You must read the rest of them. There are 5 more in the series. Love them - my favourite author for sure.

I read Snow Falling on Cedars a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Hi Lillia!

Any Ann Patchett work is a slam dunk. Whether novels or essays, Patchett never fails to hit all the right notes. Plus, she owns the coolest bookshop, Parnassus Books.

Watching your videos has gotten me back into reading. Im enjoying seeing you organising. I need to do it myself.

Fab bookcase tour, love the book nook too. Great Expectations is one of my favourite Dickens novels. A Tale of Two Cities was hard going but worth it. I still have a few of my children’s favourite picture books, they’re 24 now (twins) but they would never allow me to get rid of the books! I like to collect the old Observer books I had as a child. Take care 📖📚💕

Solenoid is a great book! Romania is proud of Cartarescu's presence on this list. ❤

I would love to come to your workshop, but I am 75 yrs old in the USA. I have been rug hooking for 20 yrs or so. All of my teachers taught hooking with only wool fabric cut on a Townsend cutter. Everything was / is in straight lines pulled up to the same height loops. Your methods with yarn etc. is a breath of fresh air and so much more artistic . I have no one to hook with in my area now. I am the only one who has kept it up, but only with wool fabric and recycled wool fabric. Love your weekly videos
